What Type of Shopper Are You?

Ask anyone how they spend their free time and shopping must surely figure in the response in some shape or form. Whether you fight your way down Oxford Street every Saturday afternoon, or browse through the pages of net-a-porter.com during your lunch hour. Whether you spend an hour or two gazing at the latest gadgets or just push a trolley around Tesco once a week, shopping is a big part of our day-to-day lives.

So what type of shopper are you? Take part in our quiz to find out…

Come on, how many Becky Bloomwood’s are out there? I’m sure I can’t be alone!

We all have different shopping habits and tricks for bagging a bargain. Some people like to slowly browse though everything in store, before deliberating whether they need what they’ve found or worrying that a) it makes their bum look big, b) that their partner won’t like it, or c) that it costs too much. I’m not one of these shoppers.

I quickly home in on things I like and will happily buy them without any input from friends and family. I’m at my most decisive when I’m shopping – choosing from a cocktail menu is an entirely different scenario!

If there’s one thing I really don’t like, it’s shopping in packs. I hunt alone. Wandering around in circles getting nowhere fast is just not for me. However, there is one thing we all have in common… seasoned shopaholics and learners alike can enjoy sales shopping success with a helping hand from SalesGossip!

Luxe for Less as Versace hits H&M

Designer diffusion lines and high street collaborations have made it so much easier to get a designer wardrobe for less. In recent years we’ve seen shopping mania strike as H&M have unveiled a series of high profile collections by the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney and Jimmy Choo. Now we’re eagerly anticipating the arrival of Versace for H&M…

Here’s the date for your diary; from 17th November Versace’s collection will be available online and at select stores worldwide – but it won’t be around for long. If last year’s collaboration with Lanvin is anything to go by the collection is sure to sell out in a matter of minutes. With prices starting as low as £14.99 for a necklace it’ll be little wonder. You’ll find womenswear, menswear, shoes, accessories and homewear, but the prospect of owning a Versace dress is what makes this collection exciting.

There’s something iconic about a Versace dress – who could forget the safety pin number that launched Liz Hurley’s career or the image of J. Lo swathed in green chiffon slashed to the navel? Versace is the definitely the label to get you noticed.

Speaking of the venture Donatella Versace revealed, ‘the collection for H&M is the essence of Versace. For the collaboration we’ve brought back from the archives, as well as from more recent collections, some of the icons of Versace.’

That means you can expect leather, leopard print, Greek key motifs and above all lots of glitz. The infamous palm leaf print has been resurrected, but alas the collection does not contain any safety pins!

Fashionistas will no doubt recognise that one dress bears an uncanny resemblance to one worn by Cheryl Cole to the National Television Awards earlier this year. The main difference is that where Cheryl splashed out in excess of £2000 for her Versace scene stealer, the version for H&M will retail at just £79.99!

Form an orderly queue now ladies and gen.
