KARL-MANIA as Lagerfeld Launch Draws Closer!

Who says black has to be boring? Certainly not Karl Lagerfeld, and neither will you once you’ve had a sneaky peek of his new affordable fashion line…

net-a-porter collection

With the designer’s trademark tailoring, high collars and leather gloves the collection is classic Karl – minus the Chanel price tag!

Simply called Karl, the line is exclusive to Net-a-Porter and is set to launch on Wednesday 25th January. There has been a lot of buzz around the collection from Twitter trending and mobile apps to look-karl-likes, but the wait is almost over.

To celebrate the launch there will be a pop-up window shop at Covent Garden Market, where you’ll be abel to shop the collection using the Net-a-Porter mobile app from 3:30pm on Thursday. Get there early to be at the front of the queue for the goody bags and giveaways. One lucky fan will win a £1000 shopping spree at Net-a-Porter.com

Versace for H&M Cruise Collection – Coming Very Soon

Get ready to shop - the Versace for H&M Cruise Collection goes on sale exclusively online tomorrow, that’s Thursday 19th January at 9am. Last time around we saw enormous queues form down Regent Street as shoppers vied for Versace items, with most stock selling out in a matter of hours – if not minutes. I managed to get my hands on a palm and crocodile print silk scarf, but for spring it’s all about the fruit print.

Cruise Collection Abbey Lee Kershaw models the bikini £24.99, dress £59.99, and blouse £34.99.

The fruity Cruise Collection features bikinis, blouses, belts, bags, ballet pumps, dresses and even dressing gowns in the cute sugar-coated summer fruit and butterfly print. These pieces are perfect for posing by the pool!

After a series of high profile collaborations with the likes of Versace, Karl Lagerfeld and Stella McCartney, I bet you’re a little bit curious about what’s next for H&M. Well you’re in for a treat… Marni for H&M launches in March.

The phrase ‘you can never have too many shoes’ has never seemed as true as it does right now - and that’s for one major reason… Aldo Rise hits Selfridges today.

Mark Fast for AldoThese Cregger cut-out courts by Mark Fast come in four colourways, so you might struggle to choose whether to buy them in blue, black, pink or nude. Personally, I love the soft powder blue pair. Pastels are definitely the way forward for S/S.

Anne Shares her Shopping Secrets with SalesGossip…

At SalesGossip we love to take a peek at what’s inside your shopping bags. This week Anne answers all our prying questions and shares her best buys with us…

I am 28 years old and came from Berlin to study at the London College of Fashion almost three years ago. I quickly learnt where and when to shop – especially as it would have been so easy to spend a fortune on clothes and accessories. Today I work, live and breath the city through and through.

My passion for finding bargains started with charity shops around 10 years back, and I still enjoy rifling through the bric-a-brac and vast rails of clothes, but my shopping habits have changed thanks to SalesGossip. Knowing where all the hidden pop-up shops and flash sales are and receiving alerts about them is a blessing. London is just too big and there are too many fabulous shop and designers which almost make it impossible to stay in the loop and not miss out. Now I can plan my shopping spress with ease at home or even on the bus with my phone.

What was your last purchase in the sales? Today I found a beautiful Monsoon dress reduced from £115 – £37. It was the only one left – and in my size! To be honest, I didn’t buy it, but I’ll go back tomorrow in my lunchbreak and if it’s still there it will be mine.

Tell us about the best bargain you have ever found? A really nice blazer at Urban Outfitters for £20. I wear it all the time.

If you could only shop in one high street store, which would you choose and why? Urban Outfitters, because they have everything I need; shoes, clothes, accessories, books, arty stuff and fun bits and pieces.

Who are your favourite designers? Stella McCartney for her playfulness and Jil Sander for her timeless design, but there are plenty more, such as Anna Sui, Chloe etc.

Who is your style crush? Gwyneth Paltrow. Anything she wears looks stunning. I also have this thing for Marilyn Monroe – she was just so classy.

Who would be your dream shopping companion? A limitless credit card (not mine) and a shopping bag that never gets full and never too heavy.

Which trends for S/S ’12 will you be shopping for? Definitely a ’50s/’60s look. Creamy colours one day then bright and bold the next, combined with denim.

Have you ever had an embarassing moment whilst out shopping you’d like to share with us? More than once I’ve tried something on and not been abel to get it off again! With the help of a friend and after a few cracking noises I managed to escape though. Thanks for reminding me!

What would you love to find with 75% off? A dress by Calvin Klein. The cuts are just unique. They look simple, but most of them are not.

What would be your number one tip for successful sales shopping? Go with a friend who needs something urgently. I bet you will be the one who finds her new favourite piece. Happens to me all the time.

Anne’s Best Buys:

White cork wedges £31 Office, black blazer £20 Urban Outfitters, brown suede boots £3 from a pop-up vintage shop, black jacket reduced from £60-£20 at H&M, yellow platforms £5 Matalan, red pumps £6 Gap.

A big Thank You to Anne for spilling all her shopping secrets. If you would like to share your best buys with us, we’d love to hear from you!
