DvF Loves Gap Kids

Diane von Furstenberg Loves Gap Kids – and so do we!

Over the past few months we’ve been treated to a series of high profile designer collaborations, and at SalesGossip we’re only just getting over the excitement of Marni for H&M – but now it’s time to spoil the kids rotten…

The DvF Loves Gap Kids collection goes on sale today – and prices start from just £9.95!

The collection features classic DvF cuts, bright colours and fun, bold prints – reworked for babies, toddlers and young girls. Just check out the mini wrap-dresses!

Speaking of designing clothes for young girls Diane von Furstenberg said: ‘A little girl, from the moment she is born she already is the woman she will be, so to empower a little girl is to empower the woman she will become.’ If only there was a womenswear collection too!

As if DvF Loves Gap Kids wasn’t already reason enough to head straight to Gap, the spring sale is now on!

Kelly Brook Swimwear Style Steal

The weather is hotting up and we can finally start thinking about casting our sweaters aside in favour of swimwear, and when it comes to bikinis no one looks better on the beach than Ms. Brook…

kelly brooke bikinis

Kelly Brook, who has designed her own retro-style swimwear range for New Look, knows a thing or two about beachwear. She understands what style flatters her enviable curves and sticks to it.

A fan of swimwear labels Eda and Vix, both of which are stocked at beachwear boutique, Biondi Couture in London and at Figleaves online, she doesn’t think twice about splashing out on several of the same bikinis – each in different print or colourway.

Seeking sartorial inspiration from Kelly, we’ve shopped the swimwear sales for the best bikinis with teeny-weeny prices – you won’t be afraid to come out of the water wearing one of these beautiful bikinis…

Eda blue and white Miami bikini, as worn by Kelly Brooke, available at Biondi Couture: top £99, bottoms reduced from £55 – £30.

Team GB Launch London 2012 Kit

The Olympic countdown clock in Trafalgar Square has been steadily counting down the days for what seems like a lifetime (who can even remember a news bulletin without it in the background), but with the launch of Team GB’s kit at the Tower of London yesterday excitement for the London 2012 games is definitely on the up…

A ‘stella’ line-up of gold medal hopefuls, including Chris Hoy, Victoria Pendleton, Andy Murray and Jessica Ennis (pictured below) took a break from their busy training schedules to unveil the Adidas kit which has been designed by Stella McCartney. No stranger to sportswear design, having produced a series of collections for Adidas, Stella McCartney has become the first fashion designer to put her stamp on an Olympic kit.

Speaking about the design process, Stella revealed: ‘The first place to start on a project like this is to look at the Union flag. For me, it’s one of the most beautiful flags in the world and it was important for me to stay true to that iconic design but also to modernise it and present it in a contemporary way.’

Using different shades of blue to build up a stylised representation of the Union flag the kit has already been criticised in the media for being too, well blue - but do you think it’s a winning look?

Shop The Trend: Coloured Jeans

This season everyone is going crazy for coloured denim, with many stores reporting an increase in sales after a certain Duchess was spotted sporting a pair of red MiH skinny jeans at Olympic Park last week. The only question is whether you’ll follow suit, or choose another eye-popping shade?

Looked to Jessica Alba, Kate Middleton, Cheryl Cole and Kelly Rowland for a spot of sartorial inspiration…

Skinny Jeans

With £10 off these coloured skinny jeans at Miss Selfridge you could always buy a pair in each colour if you really can’t choose!
