The Cold War
The sun may still be shining for the moment, but there’s a chill in the air that tells you autumn is on it’s way – and that means its time to start thinking about winter coats. If the thought of returning to the coat you lived in for most of last winter is far too depressing, take a look at the stunning new styles for A/W’12.
It seems an age since we first saw the procession of models clad in military style coats parade down the catwalk back in February. Kharki great coats, parkas, trench coats and tailored jackets complete with military insignia and gold buttons were to be seen at Burberry, McQ, Temperley, MaxMara and Topshop Unique (pictured l-r) to name just a few of our favourites.
All good things come to those who wait, and now we have battalions of competing styles invading stores on all fronts – and it’s not just designer labels.
The Great British High Street, we salute you! We’ve found top ranking military coats for every budget, so whether you decide to spend or splurge, you’ll beat the cold and win the style war this season.
