Rihanna Reveals All at LFW

A round of applause for RiRi? On Saturday night Rihanna’s collection for River Island was finally unveiled in what is bound to be one of the most talked about events of London Fashion Week. As the show we’d all been waiting for, Rihanna’s showcase attracted everyone from Mollie King to Cara Delevigne to the Old Sorting Office venue.

With a very strong 90s vibe (was that Pamela Anderson’s old Baywatch cossie we spotted?) there were denim dungarees and crop tops aplenty – but forget our description when we can get the lowdown straight from the Barbadian beauty herself. Speaking of her foray into fashion Rihanna said:

“The collection is casual, chic, flirty and for all body types. I wanted all girls to really want to wear this and be comfortable in it but still feel edgy. I wanted the character to come out in the clothes without trying too hard. Everyone can wear this line. It’s not costume, it’s not too sexy. It’s very easy and laidback. I designed every piece in the collection so I could wear it and I think my fans trust my style so they’ll have fun with it.”

So, what do you think of the collection? Here are a few of our favourites… you’ve just gotta love the skirt that looks like a denim shirt tied around your waist!

Varsity Jacket, £120

Shoe Boots, £95

Maxi Dress, £45

Yellow T-Shirt Dress, £70

Tie – Front Denim Skirt, £50

Eagle Motif Baseball Cap, £25

Striped Tail – Back Shirt, £45

There you have it – but there’s still a wait before the line hits River Island stores on 5th March.

Psst… look out for our Get The Look feature on Rihanna coming soon to 3am.
