Who says make-up has to be serious to look good? Certainly not Jane and Jean Ford! The Ford twins first began creating cosmetics in the late 70s after achieving success as commercial models and make-up artists. During their professional careers dabbling in all things beauty, Jean and Jane were inspired to open a neighbourhood make-up boutique in San Francisco, and Benefit was born.
What began as an impetuously fun neighbourhood venture (a veritable beauty locker room for bonding over gloss and gossip) has grown into something grand and global.
